QUAID-E-AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH (as a politician) SPEECH

God Almighty. out of His infinite mercy, sends such devoted and sincere men, who lead their ship out the whirlpool of trails to the shore of dignity and prosperity.

Mr. President and worthy audience, we have gathered here to pay homage to the QUAID-E-AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH who united scattered people and brought them safely to the Promised Land. Mr. Jinnah started his political career as an ardent Congress leader and a Champion of Hindu-Muslim unity. But the anti-Muslim attitude of the Indian National Congress and other hypocritical activities compelled Jinnah into retaliation. He could see no other way to raise the voice of the Muslims unless they had their own strong organization Muslim League. The entry of Quaid-e-Azam in the All-India Muslim League was a great blessing in disguise. Not only did he reorganize a disorganized Muslim League but pleaded the cause of the Muslim freedom due to his political acumen, that no one else could have done. With his dynamic leadership, the Muslim League got its destined goal.

Mr. President, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was one of the greatest Muslim personalities of the last five hundred years. He was recognized leader of subcontinent. His titanic astuteness, sincerity, courage, audacity, perseverance and proficiency in the political warfare were unique. The Quaid-e-Azam, under whose leadership, the Muslims had succeeded in achieving Pakistan and thus establishing a new independent Islamic state, left Delhi and reached Karachi by air on August 07. Thousands of his admirers greeted him with great enthusiasm at the airport. From there to the government house, a very large number of people were standing throughout the way and were chanting the slogans of Zindabad for Pakistan and the Quaid. People were anxious to have a glimpse of the man whose determination had rivaled the heights of galaxies, who had won the political war against the British and the Hindus, who had cut off their two hundred years old chains of slavery and had won a separate homeland for the Muslims Now the entire nation had all eyes for him. When he reached the government house, walking up the steps of that building, Jinnah turned to Naval Lieutenant Ahsan of his staff and said: "I never expected to see Pakistan in my lifetime. We have to be very grateful to God for what we have achieved."

Sir, Quaid was not keeping good health during the last ten years of his life. Fatimah Jinnah always took care of his great brother. Once she emphasized that he might take some rest, he said: "Have you ever heard of a general who took a holiday when his army was fighting for its very survival on battlefield?" Great are those who are admitted by both the friends and the foes and Jinnah was one of them. A great history-maker of the western world Saad R.Khairy writes: "His achievement was unique and by no means smaller than that of either Washington or Bismarck, although he did not resort to the force of arms. He fought on two fronts simultaneously and despite every handicap triumphed against bot. Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi known as Mohatam Gandhi once asked the Quaid, "If you scratch your veins, Hindu blood would rush forth." The Quaid-e-Azam in his reply, simply said, "Gandhijiee, just be converted to Islam and see the difference." Gandhi admitted that no fear or allurement could deter Jinnah from his mission. Lord Wavel regarded him a man with inflexible opinion. Jawahar Lal Nehru who was fondly called, "Chacha Nehru" had to admit that Jinnah's spotless character was the only weapon which enabled him to win all the mighty battles of his life. Vijay Laxmi Pandit rightly said, "If the Muslim League had one hundred Gandhis and two hundred Azads, and Congress had just one Jinnah, Pakistan would never have come into existence." Dr. Ashiq Hussain Battalvi wrote about the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that he was a man of strong personality like Eman Ibn-e-Tammia who saved Muslims from Tataris while the Quaid protected the Indian Muslims from the violence of Hindus. A famous Journalist Buray Nicolas in 1945 had admitted Jinnah to be one of the greatest men of Asia.

Sir, Quaid's political life extended over a period of forty two years, is a unique depiction of continuous struggle, unshaken determination, splendid discipline, unparalleled honesty, extraordinary intelligence and natural quality of leadership. His life is, therefore, a role model for the young generation and the politicians of the day. He was always strictly punctual and firm in his resolution. He fought all his life for his principles and was never a loser. Jinnah was really a man with blessings of Allah and Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). It was the support from heaven that he faced the enemies with courage and Pakistan emerged on the global map on the 14th  of August 1947 or 27th of Ramazan, the day when the Qur'an descended on the earth. the day gives us a message to exercise our best efforts for the progress, prosperity and national stability of the country. Being a dignified nation, we should make a pledge today to shed the last drop of our blood at the time of need for the sake of  our beloved homeland.

We pay the most profound gratitude and tributes to the great politician who lived and died for his people. We can neither repay his sacrifice nor forget him. At this juncture, the poet has rightly expressed his inner feelings and emotions in this manner

سارے جہاں کی دھوپ میرے گھر میں آگئی
سایہ تھا جس شجر کا میرے سر سے کٹ گیا

Pakistan Paindabad.
